I think that all Baltic cities are influenced by the Hanseatic Federation and looks somehow the same.
To see this beautiful castle make it worth to travel from Warnemünde or Hamburg to Schwerin:
The pedestrian zone and old town invite you for a nice walk.

Do not ask me how the food was. I cannot tell as I never be there... but a friend of mine is from Schwerin and I asked him for his recommendations.

Bundesgartenschau is the Federal Garden Show. It's every two years in another city in Germany. And 2009 in Schwerin:
And this year the concept sounds very great as typical and classical gardens and flowers are in the focus.
