Barcelona, Spain - Hotel-Recommendation

During my stays in Barcelona I used three different hotels:

HOSTEL (NO Hotel!!!): Hostal BCN Port

The view from the front of the Hostel: just direct at the access to the port area.

It is cheap, it is clean, it is central - it's the second closest accomodation to the Cruise Terminal! The rooms are as good, as modern and as comfortable as in the other hotels - the only difference: you need to walk out to get food - but the first point is just downstairs to the street.

Due to late arrival we stayed also at the Renaissance Hotel at the Airport.

Food like all airport hotels overpriced, but rooms are very nice. Free shuttle from the airport. Sixt-Car-Rental-Location is in same building. So just took a car and have sightseeing in Barcelona before we checked-in our bags at the cruise terminal. Then we did sightseeing again before we returned the car in the city and had to check-in ourselves at the cruise terminal.

Last not least we stayed once also in the Hilton Diagonal Mar for redemption of our points.

This was also a very nice hotel. But for my taste a little to far away from the Center. But well connected by subway and HoHo-Bus. Great shopping and dining fascilities in the opposite mall building.
